Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF)

CVE-2026-45338

Severity Low
Score 0/10

Summary

A Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability exists in `_process_picture_url()` in `backend/open_webui/utils/oauth.py` (line ~1338). The function fetches arbitrary URLs from OAuth `picture` claims without applying `validate_url()`, allowing an attacker to force the server to make HTTP requests to internal resources and exfiltrate the full response. Versions prior to 0.9.0 are affected.

CWE-918 - Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF)

Server-side request forgery (SSRF) is a weakness that allows an attacker to send an arbitrary request, making it appear that the request was sent by the server. This request may bypass a firewall that would normally prevent direct access to the URL. The impact of this vulnerability can vary from unauthorized access to files and sensitive information to remote code execution.
