Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF)

CVE-2026-42591

Severity High
Score 8.2/10

Summary

Gotenberg is a Docker-powered stateless API for PDF files. Prior to version 8.32.0, the LibreOffice conversion endpoint '/forms/libreoffice/convert' passes uploaded documents directly to LibreOffice without inspecting their content. LibreOffice then fetches any embedded external URLs on its own, completely bypassing the SSRF filters. This vulnerability is fixed in 8.32.0.

CWE-918 - Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF)

Server-side request forgery (SSRF) is a weakness that allows an attacker to send an arbitrary request, making it appear that the request was sent by the server. This request may bypass a firewall that would normally prevent direct access to the URL. The impact of this vulnerability can vary from unauthorized access to files and sensitive information to remote code execution.
