Summary

Vulnerability in the Oracle MES for Process Manufacturing product of Oracle E-Business Suite (component: Device Integration). Supported versions that are affected are 12.2.12-12.2.13. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle MES for Process Manufacturing. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and while the vulnerability is in Oracle MES for Process Manufacturing, attacks may significantly impact additional products (scope change). Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized update, insert or delete access to some of Oracle MES for Process Manufacturing accessible data as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of Oracle MES for Process Manufacturing accessible data. Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) is a vulnerability that allows an attacker to make arbitrary requests in an authenticated vulnerable web application and disrupt the integrity of the victim’s session. The impact of a successful CSRF attack may range from minor to severe, depending upon the capabilities exposed by the vulnerable application and privileges of the user. An attacker may force the user to perform state-changing requests like transferring funds, changing their email address or password etc. However, if an administrative level account is affected, it may compromise the whole web application and associated sensitive data.
