Summary
A potential Denial-of-Service (DoS) vulnerability is present in Apache CXF versions prior to 3.5.10, 3.6.5 and 4.0.6. In some edge cases, the `CachedOutputStream` instances may not be closed and, if backed by temporary files, may fill up the file system (it applies to servers and clients).

An uncontrolled resource allocation attack (also known as resource exhaustion attack) triggers unauthorized overconsumption of the limited resources in an application, such as memory, file system storage, database connection pool entries, and CPU. This may lead to denial of service for valid users and degradation of the application's functionality as well as that of the host operating system.
