Cleartext Storage of Sensitive Information
CVE-2024-47529
Summary
OpenC3 COSMOS provides the functionality needed to send commands to and receive data from one or more embedded systems. However, OpenC3 COSMOS stores a user's password unencrypted in the LocalStorage of a web browser, making the password susceptible to exfiltration via Cross-site Scripting (see GHSL-2024-128). This issue affects versions prior to 5.19.0. It only affects the Open Source edition, not the OpenC3 COSMOS Enterprise Edition.
