Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')
CVE-2024-25712
Summary
In github.com/swaggo/http-swagger package versions prior to 1.2.6, allows Cross-site Scripting via PUT requests, because a file that has been uploaded (via "httpSwagger.WrapHandler" and "*webdav.memFile") can subsequently be accessed via a GET request. NOTE: this is independently fixable with respect to CVE-2022-24863, because (if a solution continued to allow PUT requests) large files could have been blocked without blocking JavaScript, or JavaScript could have been blocked without blocking large files. This has the same fix as CVE-2022-24863.

CWE-79 - Cross Site Scripting
Cross-Site Scripting, commonly referred to as XSS, is the most dominant class of vulnerabilities. It allows an attacker to inject malicious code into a pregnable web application and victimize its users. The exploitation of such a weakness can cause severe issues such as account takeover, and sensitive data exfiltration. Because of the prevalence of XSS vulnerabilities and their high rate of exploitation, it has remained in the OWASP top 10 vulnerabilities for years.
