Summary

Digdag is an open-source tool that builds, runs, schedules, and monitors complex pipelines of tasks across various platforms. Treasure Data's digdag workload automation system is susceptible to a Path Traversal vulnerability if it's configured to store log files locally. This issue may lead to Information Disclosure. This vulnerability affects io.digdag:digdag-core package versions prior to 0.10.5.1. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.

CWE-22 - Path Traversal

Path traversal (or directory traversal), is a vulnerability that allows malicious users to traverse the server's root directory, gaining access to arbitrary files and folders such as application code & data, back-end credentials, and sensitive operating system files. In the worst-case scenario, an attacker could potentially execute arbitrary files on the server, resulting in a denial of service attack. Such an exploit may severely impact the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of an application.
