Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF)
CVE-2024-21527
Summary
The packages github.com/gotenberg/gotenberg versions prior to 8.1.0 are vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) via the "/convert/html" endpoint when a request is made to a file via localhost, such as "<iframe src="\\localhost/etc/passwd">". By exploiting this vulnerability, an attacker can achieve local file inclusion, allowing sensitive files read on the host system. Workaround: An alternative is using either or both "--chromium-deny-list" and "--chromium-allow-list" flags.

CWE-918 - Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF)
Server-side request forgery (SSRF) is a weakness that allows an attacker to send an arbitrary request, making it appear that the request was sent by the server. This request may bypass a firewall that would normally prevent direct access to the URL. The impact of this vulnerability can vary from unauthorized access to files and sensitive information to remote code execution.
