Summary
Traefik is an open-source HTTP reverse proxy and load balancer. The traefik docker container uses 100% CPU when it serves as its own backend, which is an automatically generated route resulting from the Docker integration in the default configuration. This issue affects github.com/traefik/traefik versions prior to 2.10.6 and 3.0.x prior to 3.0.0-beta5. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.

An uncontrolled resource allocation attack (also known as resource exhaustion attack) triggers unauthorized overconsumption of the limited resources in an application, such as memory, file system storage, database connection pool entries, and CPU. This may lead to denial of service for valid users and degradation of the application's functionality as well as that of the host operating system.
