Integer Overflow or Wraparound
Redis is an in-memory database that persists on disk. Redis incorrectly handles resizing of memory buffers which can result in integer overflow that leads to heap overflow and potential remote code execution. This issue affects versions 6.2.11 through 6.2.14, 7.0.9 through 7.0.14, and 7.2-rc1 through 7.2.3.
CWE-190 - Integer Overflow or Wraparound
The software performs a calculation that can produce an integer overflow or wraparound, when the logic assumes that the resulting value will always be larger than the original value. This can introduce other weaknesses when the calculation is used for resource management or execution control.
