Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in a Command ('Command Injection')
Jumpserver is a popular open source bastion host, and Koko is a Jumpserver component that is the Go version of coco, refactoring coco's SSH/SFTP service and Web Terminal service. In github.com/jumpserver/koko versions prior to 2.28.8 and 3.0.x prior to 3.0.2, using illegal tokens to connect to a Kubernetes cluster through Koko can result in the execution of dangerous commands that may disrupt the Koko container environment and affect normal usage.
CWE-77 - Command Injection
A command injection attack involves injecting an operating system command through the data input, which gets executed on the host operating system with the privileges of the victimized application. The impact of a command injection attack may range from loss of data confidentiality and integrity to unauthorized remote access to the hosting system. The attack may cause serious data breaches and system takeover.
