Summary
In the package bind9 versions, 9.0.0 through 9.16.32, 9.17.0 through 9.18.6, and 9.19.0 through 9.19.4, it is possible to flood the target resolver with queries. Exploiting this flaw can significantly impair the resolver's performance, effectively denying legitimate clients access to the DNS resolution service.

An uncontrolled resource allocation attack (also known as resource exhaustion attack) triggers unauthorized overconsumption of the limited resources in an application, such as memory, file system storage, database connection pool entries, and CPU.
