Unrestricted Upload of File with Dangerous Type
On BIG-IP ASM & Advanced WAF version 16.1.x before 16.1.2, 15.1.x before 126.96.36.199, 14.1.x before 188.8.131.52, and all versions of 13.1.x and 12.1.x, an authenticated user with low privileges, such as a guest, can upload data using an undisclosed REST endpoint causing an increase in disk resource utilization. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.

'Unrestricted file upload with dangerous type' attacks involve an attacker uploading or transferring files of dangerous types to the server. The severity of such an attack depends upon the execution mechanism and the storage location of the uploaded file. Thus, it may range from simple defacement to arbitrary file execution, and complete system takeover.
