Use After Free
An issue was discovered in Barrier before 2.3.4. An unauthenticated attacker can cause a segmentation fault in the barriers component (aka the server-side implementation of Barrier) by quickly opening and closing TCP connections while sending a Hello message for each TCP session.
CWE-416 - Use After Free
Use-after-free (UaF) vulnerability occurs when the application is using a pointer to memory that has been freed. Any attempt to read/write to a buffer after it is de-allocated allows memory corruption, sensitive information exposure, and can potentially lead to arbitrary code execution.
