Unrestricted Upload of File with Dangerous Type
User SID can be modified resulting in an Arbitrary File Upload or deletion of directories causing a Denial of Service. When interacting in a normal matter with the Sametime chat application, users hold a cookie containing their session ID (SID). This value is also used when sending chat messages, receiving notifications and/or transferring files.

'Unrestricted file upload with dangerous type' attacks involve an attacker uploading or transferring files of dangerous types to the server. The severity of such an attack depends upon the execution mechanism and the storage location of the uploaded file. Thus, it may range from simple defacement to arbitrary file execution, and complete system takeover.
