Unrestricted Upload of File with Dangerous Type
On versions 16.0.x before 18.104.22.168, 15.1.x before 22.214.171.124, 14.1.x before 14.1.4, 13.1.x before 126.96.36.199, 12.1.x before 188.8.131.52, and 11.6.x before 184.108.40.206, the upload functionality in BIG-IP Advanced WAF and BIG-IP ASM allows an authenticated user to upload files to the BIG-IP system using a call to an undisclosed iControl REST endpoint. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Software Development (EoSD) are not evaluated.

'Unrestricted file upload with dangerous type' attacks involve an attacker uploading or transferring files of dangerous types to the server. The severity of such an attack depends upon the execution mechanism and the storage location of the uploaded file. Thus, it may range from simple defacement to arbitrary file execution, and complete system takeover.
