Integer Overflow or Wraparound
An integer overflow issue was found in the vmxnet3 NIC emulator of the QEMU versions prior to 6.1.1 and 6.2.x prior to 6.2.0-rc2. It may occur if a guest was to supply invalid values for rx/tx queue size or other NIC parameters. A privileged guest user may use this flaw to crash the QEMU process on the host resulting in DoS scenario.
CWE-190 - Integer Overflow or Wraparound
The software performs a calculation that can produce an integer overflow or wraparound, when the logic assumes that the resulting value will always be larger than the original value. This can introduce other weaknesses when the calculation is used for resource management or execution control.
