Use After Free
There is a use after free vulnerability on certain driver component in Huawei Mate10 smartphones versions earlier than ALP-AL00B 188.8.131.52(C00E85R2P20T8). An attacker tricks the user into installing a malicious application, which make the software to reference memory after it has been freed. Successful exploit could cause a denial of service condition.
CWE-416 - Use After Free
Use-after-free (UaF) vulnerability occurs when the application is using a pointer to memory that has been freed. Any attempt to read/write to a buffer after it is de-allocated allows memory corruption, sensitive information exposure, and can potentially lead to arbitrary code execution.
