A vulnerability was found in Hibernate-Validator affecting package org.hibernate.validator:hibernate-validator in versions 6.0.0.Alpha1 prior to 6.0.18.Final, 6.1.0.Alpha1 prior to 6.1.0.Final, and package org.hibernate:hibernate-validator in versions 5.1.1.Final prior to 6.0.18.Final, 6.1.0.Alpha1 prior to 6.1.0.Final. The "SafeHtml" validator annotation fails to properly sanitize payloads consisting of potentially malicious code in HTML comments and instructions. This vulnerability can result in an XSS attack.
