Uncontrolled Resource Consumption
On F5 BIG-IP systems running 13.0.0, 12.1.0 - 220.127.116.11, or 11.6.1 - 11.6.2, every Multipath TCP (MCTCP) connection established leaks a small amount of memory. Virtual server using TCP profile with Multipath TCP (MCTCP) feature enabled will be affected by this issue.
CWE-400 - Uncontrolled resource consumption
An uncontrolled resource allocation attack (also known as resource exhaustion attack) triggers unauthorized overconsumption of the limited resources in an application, such as memory, file system storage, database connection pool entries, and CPU. This may lead to denial of service for valid users and degradation of the application's functionality as well as that of the host operating system.
