Summary

There is a vulnerability in mod_cluster, as used in Red Hat JBoss Web Server 2.1. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) by sending an MCMP (Mod Cluster Management Protocol) message with a series of "=" (equals) characters after a legitimate element. This could potentially crash the Apache HTTP server, leading to service disruption. This issue affects org.jboss.mod_cluster:mod_cluster-parent versions prior to 1.3.4.Final.
